The Behrendt report (2012) highlighted the significant lack of representation Aboriginal people in higher education. It called for a collaborative approach by governments, universities, and professional bodies to drive systemic changes. In last decade, this has resulted an increase students, staff, researchers. This article presents qualitative research study which social work academic participants described their experiences curriculum changes, workload, academy. Implications programs, particular, show where more is needed form antiracist action plans follow-through with these address failure thrive due having fight survive academy.IMPLICATIONSAboriginal academics are continuing find academia be socially politically unsafe unfairly competitive.Universities experienced as being often unsupportive untrustworthy workplaces.Non-Aboriginal need commitment to, actions regarding, practice colleagues.
